Counselling & Psychotherapy
A Safe, Gentle Sanctuary to Be Truly Heard
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel scary, but please know that you do not have to carry everything by yourself anymore. The core of my work is Person-Centred and deeply compassionate. I offer an integrative approach that gently blends person-centred counselling, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and supportive CBT tools.
Every person’s journey is entirely unique, which is why we will work together as a team to find what feels right for you. My aim is to offer a warm, nurturing space where you can pause, breathe, and simply be yourself, without any fear of judgment. We will always move strictly at your pace, honouring what feels safe and comfortable for you.
Walking Alongside You
Counselling offers a peaceful refuge where you don’t have to pretend everything is fine.
Whether you are living with persistent anxiety, carrying the heavy fog of low mood, struggling with quiet self-doubt, or navigating painful life changes, I am here to hold a safe space for you.
You don’t need to arrive with answers, clear explanations, or a neat map of your feelings.
You may not even fully know what you need or what is wrong, and that is completely okay.
You are welcome to show up with the uncertainty exactly as you are.
Together, we can take things one step at a time as we gently give voice to painful or overwhelming emotions and soften that harsh inner voice, learning to meet yourself with true tenderness.
We will explore how to soothe your body when stress feels like too much, building gentle, practical ways to cope so you can gradually reconnect with your quiet strength and true worth.
Making Sense of Your Experiences
Sometimes, simply understanding why we feel the way we do can bring immense relief. When helpful, I draw on gentle insights from neuroscience and mind-body connection to help you make sense of how your experiences, thoughts, emotions, and physical reactions interact.
Learning how your nervous system responds to stress can take away that heavy feeling of shame or self-doubt. It allows us to look at your reactions not as personal flaws, but with deep kindness, soft curiosity, and understanding.
Clinical Experience
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of holding space for people through many of life’s most vulnerable moments. My practice is deeply person-centred, trauma-informed, and neuroaffirming, grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life.
I regularly walk alongside individuals navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, identity exploration, and major life changes. If you are neurodivergent or have ADHD, I offer a gentle, supportive space where you can explore what unmasking means for you and live authentically on your own terms.
For those carrying complex trauma, experiences of domestic abuse, or addiction, I offer a steady, non-judgmental presence.
Together, we move at your pace, giving you the safety and room you need to reconnect with yourself and rebuild trust in your own inner wisdom.
How We Can Work Together
We can meet in person at my quiet, cosy clinic in Hyde, Cheshire, or connect online or by phone from wherever you feel most comfortable.
Whenever you’re ready to take that next step, or if you just want to ask a few questions to see if we’re a good fit, feel free to drop me a message using the form below.
